Men's Golfer Blundell Signs Division I Scholarship

MSJC men's golfer Kieran Blundell, (pictured with MSJC men's golf coach Pete Martinez) signed an NCAA Division I scholarship this week with Longwood University in Virginia.  Blundell ended his Eagle career last month by finishing 7th at the CCCAA State Championships.

MSJC men's golfer Kieran Blundell signed an NCAA Division I scholarship on Wednesday to continue his education and playing career at Longwood University.

Blundell wrapped up his outstanding MSJC career last month when he shot a 148 over the 36 hole CCCAA State Championships earning him a 7th place finish.  Blundell, a native of Birmingham, England earned All Pacific Coast Athletic Conference honors in both of his seasons for the Eagles.  During the 2018 season Blundell had a conference scoring average of 74.1 which was second in the league.  Along with his teammates​, Kieran helped the Eagles to a two year conference record of 63-33.  He also finished in the top six of the Southern California Regional Tournament both his freshman and sophomore years and was a two time State Tourney qualifier.

Longwood University is an NCAA Division I school located in Farmville, Virginia and is a member of the Big South Conference.
