The MSJC golf team shot 390 on Monday as they finished 5th in the 12 team Rig City Invitational hosted by Bakersfield College.
Connor Pierson led the way for the Eagles shooting a 74. Valentin Plumier and Evan Freeman both also broke 80 as they recorded 76 and 77 respectively. Noah Raia added an 80 for MSJC as they finished 25 strokes behind the event champion Reedley College. Tyler Leone carded an 83 for the Eagles and Cade Lenarth rounded out MSJC's day with an 89.
Following Reedley in second place was Santa Barbara, Taft took third, and Monterey Peninsula edged out MSJC for fourth with a team score of 387. The Eagles finished ahead of Fresno City, San Jose, Bakersfield, College of the Desert, El Camino, Antelope Valley, and Victor Valley.
