Golf Team Ties for Fifth at Eagle Classic

The MSJC men's golf team had a solid outing on their home course Wednesday as they shot a 382 at Soboba Country Club to tie for 5th in the 16 team Eagle Classic.

Jordan Medlock had a very good day for the Eagles on Wednesday as he shot a 71 to lead MSJC's squad.  Medlock's 71 was just one stroke off the low round of the day turned in by Matt Wotherspoon of Cypress.  Evan Freeman was next up for the Eagles as he turned in a 75.  Kyler Sargent turned in a 77 for MSJC with Connor Pierson right behind him with a 78.  Cade Lenarth shot 81 for the Eagles and rounding out the scoring for the day was Micah Stewart with an 85.

Cypress took home the team title on the day as they shot 367, they were followed by Reedley College in second at 375.  Mt. SAC turned in a 378, good enough for third place and College of the Desert's 379 earned them a fourth place finish.  The Eagles ended the day tied with Ventura and Irvine Valley in fifth.

The Eagles will return to the course next Wednesday February 19th when they play at Sycuan Golf Club in San Diego.
