MSJC women's basketball player Madeline Gray signed a scholarship this week to play next season at Midway University in Kentucky.

Gray, a sophomore from Redlands East Valley High School, played in all 31 of the Eagles' games this season starting 15 of them.  Gray and her teammates won the program's fifth conference championship in the past seven seasons going unbeaten in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play and finishing with an overall record of 24-7 after reaching the CCCAA Southern California Regional Finals.

Gray averaged 4 points per game while also grabbing 6.1 rebounds, and passing out nearly 2 assists per game.  Madeline was also usually asked to guard the opposing team's best player on defense.

Madeline will be studying Nursing at Midway.

Midway University is located about 15 minutes outside Lexington, Kentucky and competes in the NAIA and the River States Conference.  Last season Midway, under first year coach Alan Foster finshed their season with a 16-14 record.
