MSJC Women's Golf Headed Toward Conference Finals

The MSJC women's golf team has just passed the halfway point in conference competition for the season and have two players preparing for the PCAC Finals at the end of the month.

Sophomore C.J. Zulueta out of Menifee Heritage High School is currently in 8th place in the individual standings in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference. Zulueta has a scoring average through six conference events of 93. She had her best round of the season at Ironwood Country Club on September 26th where she shot an 86.

Her teammate, freshman Kylien Gunnell currently stands in 16th place in the individual standings for the conference. Gunnell is averaging 108 strokes per match and had her season best score on October 1st at Sycuan Golf Club where she shot a 98.

College of the Desert is the team leader and is undefeated thus far in conference action. The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Finals will be held at Sun Lakes Country Club on October 29th and November 1st. MSJC will be back in action this coming Monday when they play a match in San Clemente.
