Soccer Season Concludes at Desert

The MSJC women's soccer team concluded their season on Friday with a tough 1-0 loss at College of the Desert.

Desert came out fast on Friday night as they scored the match's only goal just 2:45 into the opening half when Jiana Guerrero scored off an assist from Alexi Mejia and Arely Mediola-Angul. The two teams' defenses controlled the rest of the match as Emily Gonzalez made a season high 11 saves for MSJC. Desert used three different goal keepers who combined for five saves in the victory.

The loss ends the Lady Eagles season at 5-9-6 on the year while Desert wrapped up their season with a record of 9-8-3. MSJC was 3-4-3 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division contests, while COD finished in second place in the conference standings at 5-3-2.
