Soccer Team Wins With Shutout at San Diego City

The MSJC women's soccer team scored a pair of goals late in the first half on Tuesday on their way to a 2-0 win at San Diego City.

Ruby Douhan scored the Eagles first goal of the day in the 41st minute off an assist from Tessa Martinez.  MSJC would push the lead to 2-0 just before halftime on an unassisted goal by Ariana Serrato.  The goal keeper combination of Lauren Reynolds and Alex Basoukas shut out the Knights as Basoukas made two saves and Reynolds had one.  MSJC out shot the Knights 7-3 on the afternnon.

The win was the first of the year for the Eagles and evened their record for the season at 1-1-1.  MSJC returns to action on Friday when they travel to Pasadena for a 3 pm match, the Eagles will be at home next week on Tuesday September 10th when they host San Diego Mesa on the Menifee Campus.
