Eagle Soccer Drops Close One in Final Non-Conference Match

The MSJC women's soccer team lost a close one on Tuesday afternoon, falling to unbeaten Santa Ana College 1-0 on the road.

The lone gaol of the contest came in the 32nd minute as Santa Ana's Marilyn Miranda scored unassisted.  The Eagles would manage just three shots on goal throughout the match.  The MSJC defense was strong for the second game in a row allowing just the one score.  Alex Basoukas played all 90 minutes in goal for the Eagles and made a season high 8 saves in the loss.

The match on Tuesday wrapped up the Eagles non-conference portion of the schedule, MSJC is currently 2-4-1 on the year.

MSJC will begin play in their inaugural season of the Inland Empire Athletic Conference on Tuesday October 1st when they host San Bernardino Valley at the Menifee Campus at 4 pm.  The Eagles will have 12 conference contests this year in the newly formed league and play each member school twice.  The IEAC members along with MSJC are; SBVC, Desert, Victor Valley, Norco, Cerro Coso, and Chaffey.
