MSJC Soccer Splits a Pair of Conference Matches

MSJC's #2 Natalia Toral and her teammates split a pair of Inland Empire Athletic Conference matches last week, dropping a match to Norco and winning at Cerro Coso.

The MSJC women's soccer team split a pair of Inland Empire Athletic Conference matches last week, dropping a 3-1 decision to Norco and defeating Cerro Coso 5-0.

The Eagles fell behind 3-0 on Tuesday at home against visiting Norco College and could not recover as they lost 3-1.  Tessa Martinez scored MSJC's only goal of the day with an assist from Ariana SerratoAlex Basoukas had 3 saves in goal for the Eagles.

MSJC bounced back on Friday to dominate on the road at Cerro Coso as they blew open a 1-0 halftime lead to go on to win with the 5-0 shut out.  Alexandria Segeberg had a huge day with three goals, Ajahni McClendon and Ruby Douhan also each scored in the victory.  Ariana Serrato had a pair of assists while Douhan added one.  Lauren Reynolds annd Basoukas combined for the shut out in goal.

The Eagles are now 4-7-1 on the season they are 2-3 in IEAC contests.  MSJC returns to action with a couple road matches this week, traveling to Chaffey on Tuesday and San Bernardino Valley on Friday.  Both matches this week are set to kick off at 4 pm.  The Eagles will return to the Menifee Campus for a home match Tuesday October 29th when they host College of the Desert.
