MSJC Soccer Wins Big Over Cerro Coso, Final Match Friday

MSJC's #21 Ruby Douhan had a huge game on Tuesday with 2 goals and 3 assists as the Eagle soccer team beat Cerro Coso 7-0 in an IEAC match.

The MSJC women's soccer team had a big day on offense Tuesday as they defeated visiting Cerro Coso 7-0 at the Menifee Campus.

The Eagles opened the scoring when Ruby Douhan scored in the 7th minute with an assist from Shayla Lopez.  After a quiet next 18 minutes the MSJC offense erupted for three goals in a six minute span to blow the game wide open.  Ariana Serrato scored on assist from Douhan in the 25th minute, followed quickly by a Lopez score also assisted by Douhan in the 27th minute.  The Eagles would add one more goal in the 31st minute, this time with Douhan scoring again with a helper from Tessa Martinez to make the score 4-0 at the half.

The second half was a lot like the first as Alexandria Segeberg got into the action scoring goals in the 60th and 80th minute of the match, Douhan completed her amazing day with another assist on Segeberg's first score.  Serrato capped off the scoring in the match with an unassisted goal in the 85th minute.

Lauren Reynolds played all 90 minutes in goal for MSJC to record the shut out.

The Eagles improved to 5-10-3 overall on the season and are 3-6-2 in conference with one match remaining.  MSJC will host Chaffey at 3 pm on the Menifee Campus Friday to wrap up their 2019 season.
