The Lady Eagles came out and took control of the match early as they breezed to a 25-16 win in the opening set. The Knights found their game in the second, but could not overcome MSJC as the Eagles took the second set 25-22 and then finished off the sweep with a 25-19 win in the third.

Ruby Ruiz continued to be a force for the Lady Eagles as she finished the night with a team high 14 kills while also making 7 digs and adding a solo block. Lauryn Patterson had 12 kills and a solo block as well. Ariana Velasquez had a big night with 26 assists and Lannie Maffucci added 12. Cynthia Arango led the defensive charge with 20 digs.

The Lady Eagles, who have already set the school's single season wins record, conclude the regular season with a record of 21-4. San Diego City dropped to 17-9 with the loss.

Now MSJC will prepare for the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regional play-offs. This will be just the second play-off appearance for the Lady Eagles in school history with the previous appearance coming in 2016. The So. Cal Regional play-off bracket will be released this weekend.
