The Eagles opened the year with a couple of tough losses at the Pasadena Quad as they dropped matches to Cypress and Mira Costa.  In the Cypress match MSJC forced two of the three sets past 25 as they lost 25-27, 18-25, 27-29.  Mckenna Conklin led the offense with 12 kills in the match.  In a 3-1 loss to Mira Costa it was again Conklin who had a team high 16 kills while Trysta Vincelli added 9.

MSJC rebounded to pick up a road win at Cerritos as they took down the Falcons in four sets; 21-25, 25-8, 25-16, and 25-12.  Alex Sotello dished out 39 assists in the win and Chloe Mata picked up 17 digs.

Friday the Eagles split a pair of matches at the Mt. SAC tournament losing to Mt. SAC and defeating Long Beach.  MSJC jumped ahead of Mt. MSJC bounced back Friday to sweep Long Beach 25-23, 25-16, and 25-23 in the second match of the day.  Conklin had 13 kills while Alicia Vasquez had 7 and Vincelli passed out 25 assists.
