The MSJC women's volleyball and soccer teams both open their 2022 seasons on Friday August 26th as they both hit the road.

The Eagle soccer team travels to Palomar for a 1 pm kick off against the Comets in San Marcos.  MSJC is coming off a season in which they finished 5-9-5 overall and 4-5-3 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference matches.  The Eagles placed 4th in the league standings a year ago, but look to improve on that this season with a new head coach and a host of talented newcomers.  Julio Reyes is in his first season as the team's head coach and has had the squad hard at work all Spring and summer to prepare for the 2022 season.  Chloe Baeza returns for the Eagles after a spectacular freshman season where she was named First Team All IEAC.  Baeza a sophomore from Beaumont High, led the team in scoring in 2021 as she scored 13 goals and had 3 assists.  After Friday's match in San Marcos, the Eagles will host their home opener at Carl Quandt Stadium on the San Jacinto Campus Tuesday August 30th against Grossmont.  Tuesday's home match will kick off at 4 pm.

The MSJC volleyball team opens their season on Friday as well as the Eagles set out to defend their back to back IEAC championships.  MSJC kicks off the season Friday with a pair of matches at Pasadena City College where they will take on Cypress at 11 am and Mira Costa at 1 pm.  The Eagles first home match of the season will take place on Wednesday September 7th when they host both Riverside and LA Mission on the San Jacinto Campus.  Match times on the 7th are at 10 am and 2 pm.  The Eagles are coming off back to back conference titles and in 2021 posted an overall record of 17-6 including a perfect 10-0 mark in IEAC contests.  MSJC will rely on sophomore setter Alex Sotello who was named Second Team All IEAC as a freshman.  Sotello, a graduate of Cornerstone Christian HS in Wildomar, led the Eagles in assists in 2021 with 612, she also had 148 digs during the season.  Coach Serinna Eason who was named the IEAC Coach of the Year at the conclusion of the 2021 season is looking to lead the Eagles to their fifth CCCAA play-off appearance in the past six seasons.
