Eleven players from the 2024 MSJC baseball team have signed scholarships to continue their education and athletic careers at the four-year level.

The Eagles finished the 2024 season by reaching the 3C2A Regional play-offs for the second straight season.  The team posted a record of 30-12, the 30 victories was the most for the program since 2009.

Here are some highlights of the players moving on:

Tanner Aoki (2B)-Mississippi Valley State-batted .302, second on the team in stolen bases with 16.

Joseph Romero (SP)-Cal Poly Pomona-7-3 record with 3 complete games, 79 k's (tied for team high) in 75 2/3 innings pitched

Greg Luna (3B)-Cal State San Bernardino-led the team in stolen bases with 17, led team in walks with 32, batted .322

Christian Smith (OF)-Abilene Christian-led team in batting average .361, homeruns 7, and RBIs 47

Trysten Eddy (RP)-Cal State Dominguez Hills-Team best 1.73 ERA, 3 saves, 22 k's in 20 2/3 innings pitched

Luis Ricardo Acevedo (RP)-Concordia (Irvine)-19 appearances, 27 k's in 24 1/3 innings pitched

Julian Castro (SP)-Cal State Dominguez Hills-Inland Empire Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year, team best 8 wins, 3.86 ERA, tied for team high with 79 k's

Josh McAninch(C)-Biola-batted .318, had .447 on base percentage, threw out 10 runners attempting to steal

Dominick Lombardi (1B)-Sonoma State-batted .307 with 26 RBIs and 9 doubles, led the team in put outs with 305

Austin Sargent (OF/DH)-Cal State Stanislaus-batted .329, was second on the team in homeruns with 6 and RBIs with 44

Pierce Sailer (SP)-Cal State Stanislaus-Made 17 appearances and 10 starts, went 5-4 with 1 save, 63 k's in 61 1/2 innings pitched
