The MSJC men's basketball team could not find their offense on Friday night and ended their season with a CCCAA Southern California 2nd round Regional loss at Riverside 77-58.

The Eagles shot just 11 for 29 in the first half from the field and 1 of 11 from the three point stripe, but stayed in the game with solid defense as they trailed just 26-25 at halftime. In the second half MSJC's shooting didn't improve much while the Tigers were on fire from the floor as they made 17 of 27 shots in the final 20 minutes to pull away for the victory. The Eagles who entered the game as the second leading scoring team in the State at 88.9 points per game made just 2 of 19 threes on the night.

Deshawn Millington was the only Eagle to reach double figures in scoring as he ended his night with 13 points, he also grabbed a team high 6 rebounds. Luka Filipovic ended the game with 9 points and Terrell Gray came off the bench to add 8. Otto Taylor led four RCC players in double figures with a game high 21. The battle on the glass was even for the night with both teams hauling in 34 rebounds a piece.

The loss concludes the Eagles season at 22-6, while Riverside improved to 20-9 and will move on the Regional Finals where they will host Santa Monica on Saturday. The Eagles were making their 12th straight post season appearance.
