Men's Basketball Falls to Pasadena in Final IEAC Tune Up

The MSJC men's basketball team had a tough shooting night on Friday as they fell to Pasadena City College in a non-conference home game 84-72.

The Eagles and the Lancers battled through a back and forth first 20 minutes with PCC holding a two point lead at the half 37-35.  In the second the Eagles had stretches where they found it tough to score as Pasadena was able to build a comfortable lead midway through the half and hold on for the win.

Dasean Stevens had a huge game for the Eagles as he scored 34 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and had 4 assists on 14 of 21 shooting from the field.  BJ Brown came off the bench to add 20 points, Mateo Blocker just missed having a double double as he scored 9 and pulled down a game high 13 rebounds.  Overall the Eagles had a tough shooting night however, as they finished the game 27 of 72 from the floor.

The loss drops MSJC to 10-3 overall on the season they are 2-0 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference games.  The Eagles will resume IEAC play on Wednesday night when they host Palo Verde at 7 pm.  There will be a women's game prior on Wednesday with the Eagle women taking on Palo Verde at 5.
