MSJC Men Win Fourth Straight

The MSJC men's basketball team went on the road on Saturday and defeated Barstow College 83-80 to stay within one game of first place in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference standings.

The Eagles led by 16 at the half 51-35 after some solid long range shooting in the first 20 minutes.  Barstow answered by connecting on some long range shots of their own in the second to make it a close game down the stretch.  In all the two teams combined for 24 triples in the game and MSJC came away with their fourth straight victory.

Cameron Durr led three Eagles in double figures as he scored a game high 31 points on 11 of 20 shooting which included going 5 for 11 from long distance.  Dasean Stevens had a double double with 18 points and 12 rebounds and Kyle Render scored 17 points.  Jackson Bernardo added 10 assists for the Eagles.

MSJC now stands at 15-4 overall on the year and are 7-1 in league games.  The Eagles are right back in action on Monday as they travel to Cerro Coso for a 5 pm game, MSJC returns home Wednesday when they host Victor Valley at 7 pm following the women's game.
