MBB: Eagles Roll Past Barstow, Open Play-Offs at Home Wednesday

The MSJC men's basketball team wrapped up their regular season on Friday night in Barstow in dazzling fashion as they defeated the Vikings 127-71.

The Eagles shot the lights out for the entire 40 minutes as they built a lead of 68-30 at halftime and connected on 54 of 91 shots in the game.  MSJC had two players end the night with triple doubles and six players score in double figures, all 10 Eagles who played in the game had at least 4 points.  Dasean Stevens played his final IEAC game and went out in style as he scored 15 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out a career high 13 assists.  Not to be out done Isiah Shirley also recorded a triple double as he went for 14 points, 10 boards, and 11 assists.  BJ Brown was the team's top scorer on the night with 27, he made 7 three point shots.  Darius Mason and Elijah Shirley both had 16 points, Elijah also added 10 rebounds.  Tyler Frazier-Mathews came off the bench to add 13.  The Eagles did all of their offensive damage with two starters sitting the game out due to illness as Isaiah Skinner and Jackson Bernardo didn't play.

MSJC finished the season 25-3 overall and 13-3 in IEAC games, good enough for a second place conference finish.

The Eagles were given the #9 seed in the 3C2A Southern California Regional Tournament and will host Glendale on Wednesday night at 7 pm in the opening round.
