The MSJC men's basketball team won their first round 3C2A So. Cal Regional game Wednesday night as they outlasted Glendale 83-76.

The Eagles led by just two at the half and did not pull away until the final three minutes as the 24th seeded Vaqueros played hard for 40 minutes.  Isiah Shirley and Dasean Stevens sparked a late rally for MSJC as they won their 26th game of the season and now advance to the second round of the Regional where they will take on Moorpark Saturday night in Moorpark at 5 pm.

Shirley finished the game as MSJC's leading scorer with 20, Stevens ended his night with 15 despite struggling from the field.  BJ Brown added 14 points and Isaiah Skinner had 12.  Elijah Shirley pulled in a team high 7 rebounds.  Jackson Bernardo had 6 key assists and 5 big rebounds to help MSJC.  Tyson Jackson had a game high 26 points for Glendale and also grabbed 7 rebounds. MSJC was on target from long range in the first half as they made 8 three point shots, but only added 4 more in the second.  The Eagles did out score Glendale for the game though from three point range as MSJC's 12 makes doubled the Vaqueros total.

The 26-3 Eagles, who are the #9 seed will be on the road the rest of the post-season barring an upset in the other side of the bracket.
