Three Eagle Basketball Players Sign to Four Year Schools

Three sophomores from the men's basketball class of 2024 have signed scholarships to continue their education and playing careers at the four year level.

Dasean Stevens, Isaiah Skinner, and Jackson Bernardo have all recently signed on to new programs for the Fall.

Stevens finished his stand out MSJC career scoring over 1,000 points and twice being named to the 3C2A All-State team.  Stevens was also a two time All Inland Empire Athletic Conference First Team selection.  He has signed at Seattle University a Division I member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).  This past season Dasean averaged 21.5 points per game while also grabbing 7 rebounds and making 4.2 assists a game.  He made 58 three point shots during the season.  In his two seasons as an Eagle the team won 50 games.

Skinner also earned 3C2A All-State honors this year, it was the first time since 1999 that two players from the MSJC program had earned that distinction in the same season.  Isaiah was a two time First Team All IEAC performer as well, earning that honor this season as well as at the conclusion of the 2021-22 campaign during his freshman year.  This past season Skinner averaged 18.4 points per game as well as 6 rebounds and 2 assists.  The 6'6 guard signed with The University of South Carolina Upstate, a Division I member of the Big South Conference located in Spartensburg, SC.

Bernardo will continue his career at Chapman University in Orange, CA.  Chapman is a Division III member of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).  This past season the point guard started 30 of the team's 31 games missing one due to injury.  Throughout the year Jackson averaged 7 points and 4 rebounds a game.  He was named Honorable Mention All-Conference for his efforts.

These three along with their teammates helped the Eagles to an impressive 27-4 record during the 2023-24 season.  MSJC finished as runners-up in the IEAC and advanced all the way to the 3C2A Regional Finals, before seeing their season come to an end.
