The MSJC men's basketball team picked up a pair of conference wins last week as they went on the road to defeat Palo Verde and won at home against Victory Valley.

Wednesday night the Eagles trailed by two and a half but scored 63 points in the second half on their way to a 105-88 victory. MSJC's offense was impressive in the second half as they made 20 of 30 shots from the field including going 6 of 8 from three-point range. The Eagles also made 17 of 19 free throws in the final twenty minutes. Elijah Edwards scored a game-high 27 points in the win while Adrian Mosley added 24 and 9 rebounds. Kameron Manning-Fuimaono scored 18 and Armani Battiste recorded a double double off the bench with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Saturday MSJC hosted Victor Valley and 40 minutes was not enough to decide a winner, but the Eagles would prevail in overtime 98-93. Edwards had another solid outing for MSJC as he scored a team-high 23 points and brought down 11 rebounds. Gary Dotson added 20 points off the bench while James Freeman IV just missed a double double with 17 points and 9 boards. Adrian Mosley flirted with a triple double as he scored 16 points, snared 8 boards, and dished out 7 assists. Corion Long scored 6 of his 7 points in the game during the overtime period to help secure the win.

The Eagles are now 7-13 overall and 3-5 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference games. MSJC plays twice this week when they host Chaffey on Monday night and travel to Copper Mountain on Wednesday. Both games this week follow the MSJC women and are scheduled to tip-off at 7 pm.
