The MSJC men's basketball team fell behind 16-2 out of the gates Wednesday night but rallied to lead by 11 at halftime on their way to a 92-76 home win over College of the Desert.

The Eagles took their first lead of the game with 10:33 to play in the opening half on a James Freeman IV lay-up that gave them a 22-21 lead, MSJC would not relinquish the advantage over the final 30 minutes. The Eagles slowly pulled away in the latter stages of the first half and pushed the lead to as much as 18 in the second. MSJC would fend off a couple runs by the Roadrunners by making 4 of 7 three-pointers in the second half.

Adrian Mosley led five Eagle players in double figure scoring with a team best 19 points, he also grabbed 8 rebounds. RJ Dawson added 17 points off the bench, he went a perfect 8 of 8 from the free throw line. Gary Dotson connected on four 3-point shots on his way to 14 points in the game while both Freeman and Corion Long added 12 points each. Isaiah Robinson had a game-high 6 assists and Vincent Harris III dished out five.

The Eagles were coming off a tough loss on the road Saturday at Copper Mountain where they fell 90-74. Elijah Edwards had a huge game for MSJC as he scored a career-high 38 points and snared 10 rebounds. Dotson was the only other Eagle to reach double figures with eleven.

MSJC now stands at 8-15 overall on the season and are 4-7 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference contests. The Eagles have five games remaining on their schedule starting with a home game against Barstow on Saturday. Tip-off Saturday is set for 3 pm.
