
The MSJC men's golf team will compete this week in the 2025 Orange Empire Conference championships held at Costa Mesa.
The Eagles wrapped up the regular season with an eighth-place team finish but hope to have some individuals qualify for the upcoming 3C2A Regional Tournament.
Isaiah Torres has led the way throughout the season for the Eagles as he enters this week's event with the fourth best scoring average in the conference. Torres has posted a couple of rounds in the sixties on his way to a 73.9 average through eight league matches.
Bradon Walker posted the second-best average for MSJC at 80.5, he along with McLain Brigham (85) will also look to qualify for Regionals. Akoni Johnston did not play enough rounds to qualify for a conference average but has shot four rounds in the seventies this year. Mathue Mercado will enter the tournament with a season best 76 on his resume.
MSJC is coming off their final regular season match at Bermuda Dunes where the team posted a team score of 417. The Eagles did shoot their best team score of the season at Costa Mesa when they carded a total of 380.
