Close Loss For Men's Tennis at Orange Coast

MSJC men's tennis dropped a hard-fought non-conference road match against Orange Coast College, 5-4.  The contest came down to the final singles match. Number one singles player, Fermin Blando came up just short in a 3rd set super-tiebreaker, and the match went to Orange Coast.  The number 3 doubles match was very close, seeing several lead changes throughout, but OCC eventually took two out of the three.  The singles lines were similarly close, with both teams winning three matches.  With the loss, the Eagles move to 7-2 overall.  They next face Cerritos College at home next Tuesday in an IEAC match.

"This match was tough to lose, but I know that everybody played well.  Sometimes it just works out that way." Julian Valencia

"Our guys played really well, and both teams were really battling for every point, we just came up a bit short.  I give OCC a lot of credit, they definitely out played us at a few critical points in the matches."
