M. Tennis; Eagles Suffer First IEAC Loss of the Season

The men's tennis team dropped a conference match to Cerritos, 8-1, at home Tuesday.  Cerritos jumped out to an early 3-0 after doubles play and continued to roll through the singles matches.  The Eagles got some solid play from freshman, Fernando Arguello in the number 4 singles position, as he cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 victory.  The loss leaves the team at 7-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.  The guys are back in action on Thursday as they host Victor Valley in a conference match at 2pm.

"Today was a tough test and every time we would get some momentum going in our matches, Cerritos answered back with stellar play in both singles and doubles.  Our guys were able to take some positives away from today and are eager to get back to work to improve," said Eagle head coach Cory Page.
