The MSJC men's tennis team has begun their season and so far, have competed in four matches.
The Eagles are still seeking their first victory of the year but have battled hard to start the season. MSJC opened playing back-to-back matches against Orange Coast and came out on the short end by scores of 8-1 and 9-0. In the team's first match Joey Atallah picked up the Eagles' only point of the day when he won his #3 match 7-6 and 7-5.
This past week MSJC took on Fullerton and Mt. SAC with both matches ending 7-2. Against Fullerton Chad Hayes and Keith Norman each won a singles match for MSJC. Hayes won at #4 6-4 and 7-6 while Norman won easily at #6 6-2 and 6-1. In their most recent contest, both Hayes and Atallah once again earned a win in singles for the Eagles.
The Eagles will return to action on February 18th when they travel to Glendale to play two matches. The first match next Tuesday is scheduled to begin at 1 pm.
