Coach Gregg Hepner started his coaching career after retiring from 35 years of parish ministry, he joined the MSJC staff as an assitant coach in the women's program in 2013.  He went on to serve four seasons as the women's head coach prior to taking over the men's program in 2022.  The men's team has seen their win total rise in each of Hepner's three seasons and he hopes his active recruiting efforts will continue to push the program forward.

Gregg is a well-known tennis player and instructor in our San Jacinto Valley.  He has been a certified professional tennis instructor with the Professional Tennis Registry for over 25 years, taught group lessons for Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District for 20 years, as well as private lessons in our San Jacinto Valley since 1995.  Injuries have sidelined him since 2019.  Prior to that time, he competed in his age divisions in Senior Open tournaments, finishing 2018 one of the top ranked singles players in Southern California and had a national ranking of 26.
