The MSJC softball team picked up three wins in four games over the last week and a half as they push toward the final stretch of the season with a play-off berth still within reach.

The Eagles easily defeated San Bernardino Valley in Menifee last Wednesday as they came away with a 9-1 six inning win.  Bailey Heuer had 3 hits including two doubles as she drove in a game high 3 runs.  Carolina Blanco also had 3 hits and picked up 2 RBIs in the win.  Stephanie Wagner earned the piching victory as she went 4 1/3 innings allowing just one unearned run.

Friday the Eagles traveled to Victor Valley and swept an Inland Empire Athletic Conference doubleheader against the Rams, winning by scores of 16-2 and 6-5.  In game one, a nine run top of the sixth ended the game early for MSJC.  Annalie Castanon had 3 hits and 3 RBIs including a homerun.  Trinity Robinson was the winning pitcher as she went all six innings, striking out 5, and allowing two unearned runs.  In game two the Eagles took a 6-2 lead and then had to hold on for the victory.  Isabella Harris and Heuer both had an RBI in the win for MSJC while Wagner picked up the win in the circle.

Tuesday, the Eagles allowed pair of runs to score in the bottom of the 7th at College of the Desert and fell to the Roadrunners 6-5.  Wagner took the hard luck pitching loss in relief giving up a pair of unearned runs in 3 and 2/3 innings work.  Blanco had two hits and two RBIs, while Marissa Sanchez and Natalie Juarez also had two hits each.

The Eagles are now 17-9 overall on the season and 8-2 in conference play.  MSJC travels to Compton on Saturday for a doubleheader, with the first game set to begin at 2:30 pm.
