Women's Golf 2019 Season Underway

The MSJC women's golf team has begun play for the 2019 season and Monday hosted Orange Empire Conference match #2 at Soboba Country Club.

The Eagles shot a team score of 388 on Monday which was good enough for fifth in the standings on the afternoon.  College of the Desert turned in the low score of the day with a 314.

For MSJC Sabrina Villalpando-Perez turned in the team's best score with a round of 92.  She was followed closely by teammate Danielle White who carded a 96, both Makerita Hall and Andrea Sanchez shot 100 even on the day.  Kylien Gunnell was next for the Eagles with a 110 and rounding out the scoring on Monday for MSJC was Marilu Godinez with a 118.

So far this season the Eagles have competed in the Desert Classic at Tahquitz Creek and a pair of Orange Empire Conference matches, the team is back in action for OEC match #3 today (Wednesday Sep. 11) at La Royal Vista Golf Club.

Through two conference matches MSJC has a record of 6-8, they are currently in 5th place in the eight team conference.
