Eagle Women's Golf 4th at OEC Tourney, Headed to Regionals

The MSJC women's golf team finished fourth last week at the Orange Empire Conference Tournament and will be looking to extend their season when they play in the CCCAA Southern California Regional Sunday and Monday.

The Eagles shot a two day total of 775 Monday and Wednesday October 28th and 30th as they found their way into fourth place in the OEC Tourney hosted at Los Serranos Country Club.  Danielle White led the way for MSJC as she shot 97-89 over the two day event, Makerita Hall was next for the Eagles as she carded a 93 and a 96.  Sabrina Villalpando-Perez had a strong opening round of 93 and followed that with a second round 104.  Andrea Sanchez checked in with scores of 96 and 107 while Kylien Gunnell shot 97-112.  Rounding out the scoring for the Eagles was Marilu Godinez with 122-118.

MSJC wrapped up the regular season just behind Cuyumaca to finish fifth in the conference's overall standings with a record of 32-45.  College of the Desert claimed the conference title with an impressive league mark of 76-1.  White ended the year 18th in the conference in individual scoring with a 92.9 average while Hall was 19th at 95.
