Selan and Fa'asua Finish in Top 25 at Women's State Golf Championships

Bethany Selan and Grayse Fa'asua wrapped up their 2023 women's golf seasons this week representing MSJC in the 3C2A Women's Golf State Championships.

Selan and Fa'asua both qualified for the state meet by shooting scores of 82-86 and 83-79 in the Regional Tournament held last week in Simi Valley.  They were joined by Brianna Baker who also took part in the Regional competition for the Eagles. but came up short of qualifying for state.

The state championship tournament took place at Hunter Ranch Golf Club in Paso Robles on Monday and Tuesday.  Fa'asua shot an 85 in the opening round of the two day event while Selan carded a 92.  In day two of the action Selan jumped up the leader board with a 79 to finish the event tied for 22nd.  Fa'asua turned in a 89 on day two and ended the tournament tied for 25th.

Selan is a native of Grove City, Ohio and was in her first season of competition while Fa'asua is a sophomore from Temecula Valley H.S.
