Women's Golf Season Underway

The MSJC women's golf team started their season on Monday when they hosted the first Orange Empire Athletic Conference meet of they year at Soboba Country Club.

The Eagles competed against four other teams and a pair of individuals from College of the Desert to get the season started.  Mt. SAC turned in the lowest team score of the day with a 314 which was 4 strokes better than second place Orange Coast.  Cuyumaca checked in third with a team total of 336, they were followed by Fullerton at 412 and MSJC at 423.  Michelle Khin of Orange Coast and Natalie Neal of Mt. SAC tied for the low individual round of the day as both shot 74.

For MSJC Madison Randolph carded the best round of the day for her team with an 84.  Jessica Rentfro shot a 98 while Sarah Casillas shot 125 and Brianna Baker turned in a 126.

The Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday when they take part in the Cuyumaca Tournament at Cottonwood Golf Club in El Cajon.  Tee time on Wednesday is set for 11 am.
