The MSJC women's golf team wrapped up their 2024 season last week with two players playing in the 3C2A State Championships.

Eagle teammates Madison Randolph and Brianna Baker both qualified for the two-day state championships held at Monarch Dunes Golf Club in Nipomo. Randolph shot rounds of 81 and 83 to finish in a tie for 17th while Baker finished 65th. Sahya Kitabatake of College of the Canyons won the individual title with a two-round total of 143 after shooting rounds of 73 and 70. Mt. SAC, a fellow Orange Empire Conference foe, won the team title.

Randolph and Baker were joined the week prior in the Southern California Regional by teammates Sarah Casillas and Jessica Rentfro. In the Regional held at Los Serranos Golf Club in Chino Hills Randolph finished 12th by shooting rounds of 79 and 89. Rentfro was on her way to qualifying for the state tournament as well before she was derailed by an injury between the first and second rounds. Casillas improved throughout the season but was unable to qualify for the state finals.

The Eagles completed the regular season finishing 5th in the Orange Empire Conference under first year head coach Scott Howerton.
