MSJC Soccer Wins Home Opener Over Imperial

MSJC's #2 Natalia Toral had two goals on Tuesday to help the Eagle soccer team to a 6-0 home win over Imperial Valley.

The MSJC women's soccer team started fast on Tuesday afternoon and never looked back as they defeated visiting Imperial Valley 6-0 at Carl Quandt Stadium on the San Jacinto Campus.

The Eagles scored the first goal of the day 15 minutes into the match and continued to put the pressure on IVC as they scored four times in the first half.  MSJC also added a pair of goals in the second half to cruise to the 6-0 victory.  

Natalia Toral and Ruby Douhan both had two goals each while Yvette Ruvalcaba and Caitlyn Rutledge scored single goals on the afternoon.  Douhan's big scoring game also included a pair of assists.  Dominique Morales, Jessica Diaz, Chloe Baeza, and Toral each also had an assist in the contest.  The combination of Isabel Diaz and Corayma Garcia in goal recorded the shut out.

MSJC improves to 1-1 with the victory and and will return to action on Friday when they host San Diego City.  Friday's match is set to begin at 4 pm.  All MSJC home soccer matches this season will be played at Carl Quandt Stadium on the San Jacinto Campus.
