Eagle Soccer Blanks Cerro Coso

The MSJC women's soccer team had an offensive explosion on Friday night as they defeated visiting Cerro Coso 12-0 in an Inland Empire Athletic Conference match.

The Eagles wasted no time taking the lead as they scored just 3 minutes into the match when Angela Serrano scored with the help of an assist from Crystal FloresRuby Douhan would add a goal at the 24 minute mark on another assist from Flores as MSJC extended their lead to 2-0.  Then three goals over a five minute span by Chloe Baeza would break the game open for the Eagles as Flores assisted once again on the Baeza's first score and then Douhan had helpers on the next two as MSJC pushed the lead to 5-0 at halftime.

The second half was even more dominate for the Eagles as they added 7 more goals starting with Typhany Rincon's goal at the 52 minute mark.  Riley Marshal would add a goal just 9 minutes later and them Flores scored three straight goals of her own to make it 10-0 at the 75 minute mark.  Baeza and Flores would each add goals to their huge days in the final 15 minutes.

Amelia Romero-Flores had a shut out in goal making two saves.

Flores ended her unbelievable day with 4 goals and 4 assists while Baeza also scored 4 times and had an assist.  Douhan who scored a goal added 5 assists in the win.

The Eagles are now 4-6-2 overall and 2-2 in IEAC play.  They will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Norco College for a 4 pm match.
