MSJC Soccer Back on the Winning Track

The MSJC women's soccer team ended a four match winless streak on Tuesday with a 3-1 home win over visiting Norco College.

The Eagles jumped out to an early lead as they scored in just the fourth minute of the match when Nadia Dogan scored with an assist from Karyme MendozaRiley Marshall would add a goal on a penalty kick in the 41st minute to give MSJC a 2-0 lead at the half.

In the second half Marshall added another goal in the 82nd minute to push the Eagle lead to 3-0.  Norco finally got on the board in the closing minutes of the match to make the final score 3-1.

Starting goal keeper Andrea Landeros played the first 85 minutes of the match and did not allow a goal.

The victory improved the Eagles overall record on the season to 8-5-1, they are 2-3-1 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference contests.  MSJC has a pair of road matches on Friday October 21st and Tuesday October 25th, before wrapping up the regular season at home with matches against Chaffey and College of the Desert on November 1st and 8th.  This Friday's match is at San Bernardino Valley and is set to kick off at 4 pm.
