Eagle Soccer Wins at Victor Valley, Two Home Matches Remain

The MSJC women's soccer team won 3-2 on the road on Tuesday at Victor Valley to earn their 9th win of the season.

The Eagles fell behind 1-0 in the 12th minute as the Rams scored the day's first goal, but MSJC would tie the contest before halftime when Aaliyah Sims scored with an assist from Nadia Dogan in the 17th minute.  In the second half the Eagles took a brief lead in the 52nd minute when Chloe Baeza scored off an assist from Alexis Salgado, but the Rams would answer back in the 60th minute to once again tie up the match.  The winning goal came for the Eagles in the 68th minute as Riley Marshall scored unassisted to secure the victory.  Nicole Molina made two saves in goal for MSJC while Andrea Landeros made one.

The win at Victor Valley came on the heels of a 2-0 loss to San Bernardino Valley where MSJC was kept off the scoreboard in a 2-0 loss.  In that match Molina had 4 saves and Landeros had one.

The Eagles are now 9-6-1 overall on the season and 3-4-1 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference matches.  MSJC has two contests remaining in the regular season, both are at home.  Tuesday November 1st the Eagles will host Chaffey College and on November 9th College of the Desert comes to town.  Both matches are set to kick off at 3 pm.
