The MSJC women's soccer team celebrated Sophomore Day with a victory in the rain on Tuesday as they defeated College of the Desert 1-0.
Riley Marshall scored the only goal of the match in the second half to earn the victory for the Eagles. MSJC avenged a loss earlier in the season to Desert, the Eagles lost in Palm Desert 4-1. The win came on the heels of a tough defeat against Inland Empire Athletic Conference champions Chaffey 5-0.
The win over Desert improved the Eagles overall record for the season to 10-7-1, they finished IEAC play with a mark of 4-5-1 which was good enough for third place league finish.
Tuesday the Eagles honored six sophomores prior to their final match.
