Eagle Soccer Beats Santa Ana to Move to 3-1

The MSJC women's soccer team earned their third shut out victory of the season on Tuesday as they defeated visiting Santa Ana 4-0 in Menifee.

The Eagles, who were coming off their first loss of the season last Friday at Long Beach City, scored the day's first goal in the 11th minute when Belinda Jara scored off an assist from Karyme MendozaKayla Garcia would push the lead to 2-0 in the 42nd minute when she connected off an assist from Jara to give MSJC the two goal lead headed to halftime.

MSJC would continue to control the match in the second half and added to the lead in the 57th minute when Brinley Taylor scored a goal, this time it was Alexis Salgado with the assist.  The Eagles closed out the scoring in the 67th minute when Mendoza knocked home a penalty kick to push the lead to 4-0.

Ashlyn Goade played all 90 minutes in goal for the Eagles as she made 3 saves in the victory.

The Eagles are now 3-1 on the season and return to action on Friday night when they host Palomar at 6 pm at the Menifee Stadium.
