The MSJC women's soccer team pushed their winning streak to 10 matches on Tuesday as they defeated Victor Valley, but saw that streak come to an end Friday on the road at Chaffey.

Tuesday the Eagles got off to a fast start at home at HCN Bank Stadium as Leilani Aves scored on an assist from Belinda Jara just 2 minutes into the contest.  MSJC would push the lead to 3-0 by halftime as Jara scored a goal in the 21st minute with an assist from Alexis Salgado and Kayla Garcia knocked one home with an assist from Samantha Uribe in the 37th.

The second half was more of the same for the Eagles as Ava Berger scored the team's fourth goal of the day in the 50th minute, followed just five minutes later by a goal from Karyme Mendoza.  Aves and Jara would hook up again in the 66th minute and Berger would add her second goal of the day on an assist from Lakshmi Gomez in the 84th to round out the scoring.  Daisy Reyes and Ashlyn Goade combined for the shut out in goal as both played 45 minutes, Goade had 3 saves.

Friday the 13th ranked Eagles traveled to #2 in the state Chaffey and came up short in a tightly contested match 1-0.  The Panthers scored the only goal of the contest in the 18th minute as the two teams battled it out from there.  The match pitted the final two teams who were unbeaten in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play, with the win Chaffey takes a one game lead in the IEAC standings heading into the second round of matches.

The Eagles, who are now 12-2 overall and 4-1 in the IEAC, will host Norco College on Tuesday at 4 pm at HCN Bank Stadium before traveling to San Bernardino on Friday.
