MSJC Soccer Bounces Back With Shut Out Win Over Norco

The MSJC women's soccer team bounced back on Tuesday after a tough loss Friday that ended a 10 match winning streak by defeating Norco 3-0 at HCN Bank Stadium in Menifee.

The Eagles scored all three of their goals in the first half and earned their 13th win and 12th shut out of the year.  Aaliyah Sims was the first to get MSJC on the scoreboard as she scored with an assist from Leilani Aves in the 23rd minute.  Nadia Dogan would add the Eagles' second score of the match in the 41st minute with an assist from Belinda JaraAva Berger scored what seemed to be the knock out blow in the 45th minute with a helper from Addisyn Mangrum to give MSJC complete control of the match.

MSJC's defense continued to be strong in the second half, on the afternoon the Eagles got off 18 shots compared to just 7 for Norco.  Ashlyn Goade played the first half in goal for the Eagles making 3 saves, Daisy Reyes played the second half and added a save.

The Eagles improved to 13-2 overall on the season and are 5-1 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference matches.  MSJC travels to San Bernardino Valley on Friday for a 4 pm match, before returning home next Tuesday October 31st for a match with College of the Desert at HCN Bank Stadium.  The match on the 31st will also kick off at 4.
