Women's Tennis Opens Season at Cypress

Lindsay Lemus picked up a singles win for the MSJC tennis team on Tuesday, but the Eagles fell to Cypress 7-2.

The MSJC women's tennis team played their first match of the season on Tuesday as they lost on the road at Cypress 7-2.

The Eagles picked up a point in doubles from the team of Jenna Kent and Frexie Maralit as they won their #1 match 8-5.  Lindsay Lemus won the other point on the day for the Eagles as she won her #3 singles match in straight sets 6-2 and 6-4.

Lemus and Suizanne Bishton played #2 doubles for the Eagles on the opening day of the season while Catherine Gallegos and Raniah Matti teamed up at number 3.  Alina Cleveland also got into action on Tuesday as she played in a singles match.

The Eagles now 0-1 on the season will return to action next Tuesday February 8th when they travel to Mt. SAC for a 2 pm match.  The team will play their first home match of the season on Saturday February 12th when they host Antelope Valley at noon on the San Jacinto Campus.
