The MSJC women's tennis team was represented by three players this past weekend at the CCCAA State Championships in Ojai.

Singles qualifier Lindsay Lemus was defeated in her first round match by Hannah Bodtke of Grossmont 6-4 and 6-2.  She was battling a bicep injury she sustained on Monday.  "I was disappointed Lindsay wasn't healthy enough to play her best tennis in these championships," said head coach Patrick Springer.  "She has been a pleasure to coach the last two seasons and has provided much needed leadership both seasons.".

The Eagle doubles team of Addysen Walls and Therese Sherwood also fell in the first round.  They lost 6-2 and 6-0 to a pair from City College of San Francisco.  "Therese and Addyson, although they lost, had a great Freshman season and gained valuable experience at Ojai," added Springer.
