Women's Tennis Wraps Regular Season Winning 2 of Final 3

The MSJC women's tennis team wrapped up their regular season on Tuesday with a 9-0 victory at home over Southwestern.

The Eagles who also picked up a non-conference win on Saturday over Paradise Valley 8-1 finished the regular season with an overall record of 8-4.  MSJC lost to Pacific Coast Athletic Conference champion San Diego City last Thursday to end conference play in second place with a league mark of 6-2.

Tuesday the Eagles dominated throughout the contest as they swept the three doubles matches and won five of the six singles matches in straight sets.  Emmy Giron and Breannah Baron teamed up for a 8-1 win at #1 doubles, Cameron Royo and Trinity Anderson won their doubles match 8-5, and Savannah Llado & Sharon Aguilar won 8-6.

In singles MSJC continued to roll with Giron, Anderson, Royo, Baron, and Llado winning in straight sets, while Aguilar won a tightly contested match 6-4, 2-6, and 12-10.

Next up for the Eagles is the PCAC Tournament April 4th and 5th at Grossmont.
