The MSJC women's tennis team competed in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference tournament this weekend and had a pair of doubles teams and two individuals qualify for the State Tournament in Ojai April 24-27th.
Madison Williamson, the Eagles top singles player and number four seed in the tournament, won three matches and reached the semifinals to qualify for Ojai. Breannah Baron also earned a singles berth to Ojai after splitting her first two matches at the conference meet and then fighting back for two wins in the back draw.
Williamson and Baron also teamed up to have a strong doubles tournament as they upset the conference's number two seed on their way to the championship finals. Their runner-up finish qualified them as a pair for Ojai. Trinity Anderson and Cameron Royo also qualified for the Ojai trip as they fought their way through the doubles back draw. Savannah Llado and Jadyn Brush came up just short of qualifying as a doubles team.
The Eagles as a team finished the season with an overall record of 7-7, they went 5-3 in PCAC matches and tied for second place with Grossmont.
