MSJC alum John Gagnepain will assist the Eagle tennis program for the 2023 season working under the tutelage of women's head coach Patrick Springer and men's head coach Gregg Hepner.  John joins MSJC following twelve seasons of high school head coaching experience at Chaparral HS (Temecula), Tahquitz HS (Hemet), and San Jacinto Leadership Academy.

John is a native Chicagoan whose family eventually moved to southern California where he attended Helix HS (San Diego) before transferring and graduating from Perris HS where he played football, basketball, and participated in track & field.  He later attended MSJC earning an Associate's Degree in Kinesiology while playing tennis for the Eagles for two seasons sharing co-captain honors with team MVP Andy Gibson.  John and his wife Cynthia reside in the city of San Jacinto with their daughter Rhea and son Jake.

"I am extremely grateful to have been afforded this opportunity to help develop the Eagle tennis program," said Gagnepain.  "I'm excited to give all I have to offer to help MSJC to the best of my abilities."
