The MSJC women's volleyball team had four players honored by the Inland Empire Athletic Conference last week with two players being named First Team All-Conference, and two others grabbing a spot on the second team.

Sophomore Faith Galvan, a 5'6 outside hitter from Paloma Valley High School, and Makenzie Nutting a 5'11 freshman opposite hitter from Temecula Valley both earned First Team All IEAC honors while teammates Keona Escorpiso and Allison Rozell were named to the Second Team.

Nutting and Galvan finished one and two this year for the Eagles in kills with Nutting finishing the year with 258 while Galvan knocked down 182.  Galvan also had 224 digs during the season which ranked her second for MSJC.  Nutting was strong at the net on defense as well as offense as she wrapped up her freshman campaign with 17 solo blocks and 67 block assists.

Rozell, a freshman outside hitter from Hemet High, had a well balanced season as she recorded 156 kills, 80 digs, and 22 block assists.  Escorpiso a freshman libero, also from Hemet High, led the team in digs for the season with 236.

These four players along with their teammates helped the Eagles earn their first conference title in program history as they finished the IEAC season at 8-2.  Their 8-2 record tied them with Chaffey and College of the Desert for the league's top spot.  MSJC also advanced to the CCCAA Regional Tournament for just the third time in program history as they wrapped up the season with an overall mark of 13-11.
