The MSJC volleyball team stayed unbeaten in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play last week as they grabbed a pair of road wins over Cerro Coso and San Bernardino Valley.

Wednesday the Eagles traveled to Ridgecrest and swept Cerro Coso by scores of 25-6, 25-11, and 25-19.  Megan Gajda led a balanced offensive attack with 7 kills as 8 MSJC players recorded at least two.  Trysta Vincelli had a team best 11 assists and Josephine Springer picked up a match high 8 digs.

Friday, MSJC seemed to be in a battle at San Bernardino Valley as the two teams split the opening two sets by scores of 25-20 and 23-25, but the Eagles took over after that to win the third and fourth by scores of 25-16 and 25-18.  Brooklynn Thomas had a big night as she knocked down a team high 14 kills, she also had 9 digs, and 2 block assists.  Mckenna Conklin had 8 kills and 14 digs for the Eagles.  Brooklyn Jimenez had a team high 17 digs and Carley Kruse had a solo block, a pair of block assists, 9 kills, and 8 digs as she played a very solid all around match.

The Eagles have now won 13 of their past 14 matches and have an overall record of 14-4, they are 3-0 in IEAC play and stand alone in first place.  This week MSJC will travel to Copper Mountain on Wednesday for a 5 pm match, before returning home for a noon match with Chaffey on Friday.
