Volleyball Team Sweeps Coso, Sets Up Big Match Wednesday

The MSJC volleyball team extended their winning streak to 11 matches on Friday night as they swept Cerro Coso in a home Inland Empire Athletic Conference contest.

The Eagles won by scores of 25-18, 25-9, 25-21 to stay undefeated in IEAC play and set up a showdown for fist place on Wednesday with San Bernardino Valley.  Friday MSJC was led by Mckenna Conklin with 14 kills, Megan Gajda added 7 for the Eagles.  Trysta Vincelli had a match high 27 assists.  Brooklyn Jimenez picked up a match high best 12 digs to lead the defense and Lauren Cummings had a pair of block assists.

The win leads up to a big match on Wednesday at home for MSJC when they host San Bernardino Valley.  Currently the Eagles are 8-0 in league play while the Wolverines will enter the match 8-1.  MSJC defeated SBVC the first time around in San Bernardino on October 6th 3-1.  Wednesday's match will begin at 5 pm.  The Eagles will also be at home Friday when they take on Copper Mountain also at 5 pm.
