Eagle Volleyball Wins IEAC Title

The MSJC volleyball team claimed the Inland Empire Athletic Conference Championship on Friday night as they swept Victor Valley after winning at Chaffey on Wednesday.

The Eagles went on the road Wednesday and swept Chaffey 25-8, 25-6, and 25-15 to set up Friday's match with Victor Valley.  Friday while celebrating sophomore night the Eagles defeated the Rams 25-14, 25-7, and 25-21 to win their third conference title in the past four seasons and qualify for the 3C2A Regional play-offs for the sixth time in the past 8 years.  

At Chaffey Carley Kruse led the offense with 13 kills while Mckenna Conklin added 6 kills and a team high 10 digs.  Trysta Vincelli had 20 assists in the win.  Friday night it was Brooklynn Thomas along with Conklin who each knocked down 12 kills to lead MSJC.  VIncelli had 22 assists and Kalia Anady passed out 14.  Tracy Blanchard had a pair of solo blocks at the net.

The Eagles wrapped up the regular season with an overall record of 22-5, they were 11-1 in IEAC matches.

MSJC now awaits the 3C2A play-off pairings which will be announced on Monday.
